Ask at your vets as they will probably have an idea. I did that and then asked around the dog walkers. Or just go along to watch a couple to see how they work.

You could also try asking the Kennel Club - they will send you a list of local clubs, if you phone them and ask (their phone number is on the website)

Alternatively try www.apdt.co.uk (the Association of Pet Dog Trainers).  This lists lots of trainers and the clubs they run.  In fact, I just checked Stoke-on-Trent and they list this lady:

Wendy Shufflebotham 00760

Address: 3 Under the Hill, Biddulph Moor, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire ST8 7RR

Adult
Junior (over 20 weeks)
One-to-one
Home visits - 30 mile radius

Tel: 01782 522929 Email: wendy.shuff@v21.me.uk
Fax:  Website:
Mobile: 07986 318676

You could try her, even though she seems not to do puppy classes herself, she probably knows someone who does.  My dog trainer is APDT qualified and she is excellent.

Hope that helps.  Enjoy the classes when you find them!
