Bedroom Capers

Blue climbed into bed this morning for his morning cuddle   what he does is stand at the side of the bed and grumbles till I wake, I then have to lift the covers so he can jump in

I tuck my sheets in tight and Blue decided to get out of bed at the bottom which he never does he usually waits for me to lift the covers when I get up and he'll jump out but today was different, he went to the bottom and jumped down but couldnt get out of the sheet as it was tightly tucked, he looked like a cocoon    poor little thing didn't even move he just waited quietly whilst I dragged the sheets out to free my poor baby

Your house is as bad as mine

I got up to let Oscar out when he whinged this morning and then made a cup of coffee and went back up to bed

I got into bed (half asleep you realise  ) and felt something down by my feet. I shot out of bed, splashed coffee everywhere and nearly had a heart attack.

I pulled the duvet off and there's my 5 year old with Scully and a torch under the duvet down at the bottom of the bed hiding waiting to leap out and scare me

What I want to know is how did I NOT see the lump!!!!

I used to hate the sound of my alarm clock and put it on snooze....

nothing like a cocker whining at the baby gate to get you up bang on 7am every morning, and I work from home!  he doesnt whine to go to the toilet - he just wants to have as much time as possible on the bed and brings his big blue (slightly smelly) hippo with him!
xx my working cocker works very hard at being a lap dog xx

:P Love our morning cuddle.

Friday is my day off and my attempt at a lie in, huh!

Jessica lies in wait. The slightest twitch from me and she burrows her nose under my neck to get me up off the pillow. Very gently  I hasten to add :)

If I pretend to be asleep she curls up for a nap at my feet until I move again. Then she's there ,full throttle, body wriggling, frantically looking for a present to bring me. It's like..... , 'Morning Mum, rise and shine!' :P
Lovely way to wake uop in the morning :P

It all starts with one 'little morning cuddle' or 'special treat' as we called it in our household         It finishes with them thinking that your bed is actually their bed
