Hi,

     I am please to announce that Aimee became a mum at 0145 this morning, she finally had four little girls and four little boys, all weighing between 8oz and 10.5oz  :lol:

She has finallly settled down to feed her babies. I hope she is not going to shock me and have another! After the seventh baby she decided she wanted to settle down with them, two minutes later, out popped another!  :lol:

Whelping lasted four and a half hours and I did it all myself and didn't panic too much. Only panicked when the first one was dangling by its cord for over 10 mins.....so phoned a friend who told me what to do.

Aimee on the other hand was a perfect mum, she delivered the first one while I nipped to the toilet. Bless her. Got down just in time to clear its head.

Will keep you posted on her progress. Mother and babies appear to be fine.  I'm off for a quick shower while I have a few minutes.

Wesley, bless his little cottons, kept out of the way all the time. He must have known something was up. He's just had a ten minute cuddle for make up for being ignored.

Post later when I've had some sleep.

Congratulations to Aimee and well done to you both!

Eight puppies - wow!  My Welshie had eight pups and they were hard-work, but an absolute joy.  Hope we can see some photographs of them in a few weeks time?

Hi everyone,

      Thanks for the all the congrats and the pm's too  :lol:

All puppies are feeding well, had to drag Mum away to go and have a wee. They have all just been fed and I'm on a five minute break so I thought I would update you all.

They are beautiful puppies and Nikki, I forget to say they are all blues, so expect all blues in your litter too  :lol:

Mum is terrorising poor Wesley at the moment, and he hasn't gone near the puppies yet. I have to stand between Aimee and Wesley when he wants to go for a wee to stop his head being bitten off. He's just been sat cuddling me on the sofa for the last 15 mins, getting some cuddles in.

Well the oldest pup is over 13 hours old now and they have started to settle down. I've done three washes already, what with the vetbed and all the towels I used. I think I might be asking someone to pick me up some more bedding from Bournemouth this weekend  :)

Got to go, got to check on those lovely puppies and make sure Wesley is still entire!  :lol:
