Hiccups!
« on: May 18, 2005, 08:59:28 AM »
Does anyone else's cocker get hiccups?

Bella seems to get them at least every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times during the day. They don't seem to bother her it's just something that made me wonder really.

Is there a reason she keeps getting them? or anything to do to prevent/stop/clear them?

Bless her little heart

Pepsi gets hiccups too and they don't bothe her either. It's not even after she's eaten to say she's gulped her food which is often why humans get hiccups.

Yes Buddy gets them frequently too.

He's now 4 months old, don't know if it's age related but he used to get them at least once a day, less often now.

Might be something to do with the speed of eating!

it seems like it's just a young puppy thing then and they get less frequent as they get older.

I'm not sure that it is food related though as it's not normally after eating, it just comes out of the blue and can be any time of day after any kind of activity

My Bella used to get them all the time but now at 5 months doesn't get them so often - it used to be pretty much every time she woke up!  :P

Yes Bob gets them too. It's so funny. Seems to be after eating mostly but he has been known to get them after a hard play session!!
