Hi everyone

On Friday my husband took me out shopping (because my backs bad and I can not drive) we put Finley in the kitchen as usual, we have a baby gate between the kitchen door and dining room door.  WELL when we came home I opened the lounge door AND THERE HE WAS!!!! I really do not know how he got out, there are only two possibilities No -  1 he jumped the baby gate - he sure this would be possible as the kitchen floor is tiled and fairly slippy, No 2 - my husband did not completely secure the gate and although you can open it about 4" it really really stiff - so I think he must have pulled it open put his head through to stop it shutting and got through - does anyone else have any other suggestion - someone suggested perhaps he got through the bars of the gate - but they are only 2" wide.
We are off out tomorrow so I will see what he does then.

Wendy,

My moneys on jumping the gate; you'd be amazed how high they can jump when they want to

I still lift Molo into the car boot as he pathetically jumps at the back of the car but doesn't get in; and then one day on the beach he was playing with three labradors and leapt a good 4 feet upwards onto a walkway to follow them without so much as a blink; I was gobsmacked

Let us know how he does it....... ;)

Fudge used to escape our garden- it meant clearing a 6ft gate! We were stunned for ages as to how she could doit but then saw her using a small, narrow side wall to give herself a 'leg up' onto the gate. She still had to clear 4ft though! Goodness knows how she got down the other side. Anyway, we bought a better gate and now she can't get out. They're a bit too clever for their own good Cockers.
