Have I mentioned that I know of another wonderful place for a walk girls!!!!
I know - you will never listen to me again!!
Yep Tentsmuir forest will be to blame. We walk there all the time but have only picked up ticks on 2 occasions. Our first encounter with a tick was after meeting Emma and Pickle - Brogan and I both had one. Emma got away tick free by wearing her pink wellies - always knew there was a reason I liked them!! We use Frontline every 4 weeks although this will not stop them attaching.
If it makes you feel any better girls - I have had a tick on my leg this week  Gill must've laughed when I told her in a pm - could almost hear her from here
. I picked that one up from the local nature trail though I think - seemed too tiny to be from Saturday unless it was fasting first!!
You can't feel them feed and you can't feel them attach - this one OH saw not me - at the back of my knee. He thought I had a new mole growing - it was the size of a pinhead - tiny little thing - decided it must be a tick when we noticed this mole had legs!!!!
I can't believe my 3 children have never had one - they play in the nature trail which is right next to the house and we also play tracking and hide n seek at Tentsmuir Forest. At least you will now see why the flies didn't bother me that day - other evils lurked
I freaked when I had my first tick encounter - can't stick the little blighters - have got used to dealing with them now. I know I mentioned the ticks in the "When Butty met......." post - had hoped we wouldn't get any as they are more prevalent in the spring - sorry girls
. Can I come out of hiding yet :?:
