Thank you?.I did wonder about a soft one?.will order one , she is not doing much at the moment buta softer version would probably better for when she is wandering around a bit more?.we have until New years eve before She can go without.

Sorry to read about Rosie.

When Rupert was castrated I bought one of these, they are not so deep as the vet ones and because they are more see-through he did not seem to bash into things (including human legs!) quite so much. I got large for Rupert as being a westie his neck is quite big, so measure Rosie before ordering.

Hope it helps, and wishing Rosie well

You can get soft cones now which are more comfortable (if an inflatable one won't work) and should stop her getting to her bottom.

There are lots on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=soft+cone+for+dogs&crid=2PPYEAZEBAL8L&sprefix=soft+cone+for+cats%2Caps%2C262&ref=nb_sb_ss_saint-en-refocus-candidate_3_18

Can empathise with this, Dylan had a testicular tumour removed, plus one of old spaniels had the same as Rosie. Our furniture all got chipped! I think there are now softer cones you can get, rather than the hard plastic ones, they are still firm, but not so lethal.
The only other thing  I could think of is maybe a babygro or surgical coat (they are brilliant), and put some padding in like a nappy?
Sending hugs to poor Rosie.

Health / Cone or collar

Poor Rosie has anal cancer and yesterday had an anal gland removed?for comfort more than anything?.and came home with a cone from the vets. Its like she is wearing a wrecking ball, no control over it ?and she is a Spaniel and mooches around with Her nose in the floor and the cone keeps catching on bumps , steps, anything that is on the floor. We are trying the inflatable one but She is going to be able to reach Her bum?so the cone will have to go back on.Because the stitches are beside her bottom a baby gro isn?t really going to work as she will still be able to get in?..any other ideas please.
