Pulled muscle?? Coat question

Morning all, I think Kooki may have pulled a muscle as although she is eating/drinking/pooping as normal she was very reluctant to leave her bed this morning and although trotted along on her walk she is a bit 'flat', guarded and not jumping up) for treats as she normally would (and had to be lifted into the car.
After lying down for any period of time she is very stiff and reluctant to get moving again- I am going to rest her for a day or so but was wondering if wearing her drying coat would help her as it would keep her muscles 'warm' while she was lying down and maybe stop her seizing up so much??
 Would this be ok do you think??

If there is no improvement after 24 hours rest I am going to give the vet call but in the interim I want to make her as comfortable as possible so am open to any suggestions.

I don't see that it would do any harm and it may help her both in terms of being less stiff after resting and also it may help her to relax her muscles and feel comforted too.

No further ideas but just crossed fingers for her to improve.

Thanks - I am at work placement with college this morning so have moved one of her beds in front of the radiator and am leaving the heating on low til I get home then I wil put her coat on her while I am in the house or she is supervised - I settled her in a bed for now with a blanket over her and she has not moved - hate seeing her like this so may cll the vet earlier than 24 hours but bizarrely enough she was livelier out of the house ??  Ahhh cockers they are a worry

Worth a try    If she is no better later on, she might need some Metacam from the vet

SHe is def not herself and the saddest thing was no sweaty lil brown paws on the glass panel as I unlocked the door when I came home, she was snuffling about and came for a fuss but no jumping up for cuddles which is most unlike her. Phoned vet practice and spoke to a nurse- have made an appt for tomorrow morning which I can cancel if she improves and if worried later can still phone for vet..  WIll keep you all posted - I hate seeing her this flat, even Fred is acting subdued around her now

Fingers crossed for Kooki in the morning...hopefully some anti-inflammatories and rest will sort her out.  If you can pin point where the problem is a heat pad can help as well.... one of those you pop in the micro for a couple of minutes can help relieve the stiffness while they're laying down. xx
