Woody's cocked his leg for first time this morning!

Well for months now I've been thinking Woody will never cock his leg and always squat (doesn't bother me at all either way) but I just let him out and caught him cocking his leg up the garden wall.

This is the first time I've seen him cock his leg and at just over 2 I'd got used to the idea of him just squatting and never learning to cock his leg to be honest.

Looks like he's decided he is a REAL boy after all. (not that it really matters whether they cock their legs or not)

Was a proud dog mummy moment though! :luv:

How funny! And on Mother's Day too!

My Henry's 10 months and has never cocked and I kind of assume he never will, but maybe I'm wrong... I actually dreamt that he cocked his leg over another dog - I hope that doesn't happen!!

Just goes to show, Our springer never ever cocked his leg in all his 14 1/2 years.
I thought Riley never would but at 11 months he started hafl cocking, but in the garden , park etc he squats, but out on walks he cocks his leg .
Even recently when the snow melted, there was a huge lump of it left in the park, He cocked over that lol
On a half hour walk this morning, hubby said he cocked his leg no less than 4 times.  Means he wont need out till late this afternoon. :o

William doesn't cock his leg very often and he'll be 9 in May. But when he does Louis sometimes gets underneath him and has a lick :020:

 :lol2: It's such a proud moment for us cocker mums eh?  I remember Merlin becoming a 'big boy'.  Now he tends to choose the position based upon where will get most pee in the 'correct' place (however he determines that).  My theory is that he squats to pee over girl p-mails and cocks his leg to pee over male p-mails...

Ozzy cocks all the time now when we are out on walks, always where he perceives another dog has done the same.  He often doesn't produce much, just cocks his leg and has a little dribble.  He never cocks in the garden, so I'm assuming that it's a scent marking thing rather than actually needing to pee!

Ha! When Barney fist started cocking, he would often lift the wrong leg so that he was weeing away from the lamppost or tree.  Soon got the hang of it though. ;)

Cosmo always squats in the garden and cocks his leg when out on his walks. Funny thing is, he never cocks his leg up to a lamp post or a wall,  he just randomly stops and cocks his leg, quick wee and then carries on walking! :blink:

Charlie has been cocking his leg to pee for a few months now..only his right leg to begin with..but now uses both  :D
However I've noticed quite a few times lately that he has been cocking his leg to poo as well >:( :005:
