Poor Oscar :( It could be lots of things and may be something as simple as a pulled muscle but this sounds very much like back pain.  I'd pop him along to the vet and let them check him out. In the mean time I would keep him quiet and rested and not let him jump up on anything or attempt the stairs etc. Hope he's back to normal soon.

Could be a muscle strain, trapped nerve, or something spinal.  Get him down the vets for a check up

I would take him to a vet. Our first dog Cassie sat shaking in her basket one morning. When we took her to the vet, he found she had arthritis in her hip. It was only on looking back that we realised she'd become less keen on jumping into the car, bed etc.

If it is a joint thing, there are lots of natural remedies you can use to help.
Julie, Ruby and Jem. And never forgetting our first precious dog, Cassie x
