Have they said anything about her stomach problems and diarrhoea Maddy as that to me doesn't tie in with the poly arthritis theory?

Hopefully she's had an anti-emetic at least to help ease that  ;)

There was a thread a while ago about polyarthritis http://www.cockersonline.co.uk/discuss/index.php?topic=91764.msg1364025#msg1364025 with mention of a recommended website called CIMDA.

Hi Maddy sorry to hear Willow is poorly again these AI conditions are a nightmare. Jasper has polyarthritis it was his primary presenting symptom with Lupus but it is a condition on its own too. Unfortunately one AI  condition can make them more susceptible to another but keeping everything crossed here that she is stabilised soon. The good thing is you noticed straight away that something wasn't right and time is definately of the essence with our little AI babies. CIMDA is a great wealth of knowledge but I think you are already a member? Come on Willow stop worrying you mum. Big hugs Deb and Jasper.

He said he thought her tummy was a bug or something linked into the raw feeding. He didnt think the tummy was linked with the other apart from to say it could have sent her immunity into attacking itself like it did before (He used better terminology than that).

Ive just called again and they are going to get someone to call me back, ive asked about visiting her, but im not sure whether this would stress her out more when we left, I will let them make the decision. It might reassure we will come back for her. I hope they call me soon.

Hi Deb H thank you for that info. Ive never used that web site but was going to anytime soon as Willows boosters are due and I dont think I am going to get her done.

How did they diagnose Jaspers polyarthritis? How does it affect him? Thank you

Hi Maddy, Jasper started with classic shifting lameness which then progressed to every weight bearing joint including his jaw so he couldn't eat. It was quite obvious with him what it was not every case is as severe and he had other things going on too. Once the meds kicked in his symptoms eased and then disappeared. He has had a couple of relapses but has been in remission with his polyarthritis for a long time now. It's just the rest of his condition that causes all his problems bless him.

Dear Dear Willow - please get better soon and home so your mummy can stop worrying so much about you. Maddy - you did the right thing so obviously it was meant for you to set your alarm early so you could help her faster. I am very sorry that she has not been well and will send cyber hugs and healing thoughts along with all the others xx

:'( :'( :'( Maddy & Darren  :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug:

I'm so sorry to hear your special girl is unwell.
I'm sending lots of positive thoughts to you both, be strong for Willow - like you were this morning as Sula said - and to the beautiful lady herself I'm sending heaps of love and endless 'get better' vibes. She's been seen to so quickly, don't beat yourself up over food!!!, just breathe & remain focussed because you'll have armfuls of cuddles to be giving her once she is back home with you both.

Thinking of you three. I'm here if you need me....  :-*

Lovely post.
Absolutely agree about the food. Just be grateful that you got Willow straight to the person she needed to see in double quick time.   :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug:

So sorry to hear Willow is poorly again  :-\

Hopefully they can get a clearer diagnosis tomorrow and she will be on the mend very soon. :bigarmhug:

Agree with Helen that it is unlikely that the raw food is to blame - vets will often be very anti raw feeding and so will clutch at that as an explanation for problems.  :-\
