This is like swimming through treacle.
After 9 days of Veraflox her ear is still too swollen to get a good look inside. She thinks she can see pus down there but didn't want to hurt Kali by taking too long. So, she has had a steroid injection to try and get the swelling down so we can get an idea of what's going on.
I asked her to look at her bum and lady bits as she seemed uncomfy to me. I told her it wouldn't be her glands as she has never had trouble there. It was her glands, they were infected too
. Laurie is still convinced her ear is a crossover infection from her palate but thinks her body was so busy trying to fight her ear problem that the glands just took the opportunity to join in!
So, she's had her steroids, she has Synulox and she goes back Monday teatime. If things are going ok she will stay on the Synulox for longer this time to try and get rid of it. If not, she will stay in and Tuesday morning she will be sedated to get a swab taken (if possible) and full blood panel to see if that gives any clues.
I heard her crying through the back and I felt so awful. You just want to fix them ..... come hell or high water.
