Bailey getting her op today :((

Bailey is getting spayed today, Im so nervous, first time for both of us!
She is wondering why she hasn't been fed!
We walking to the vets soon.

Has anyone used the blow up ring collars and would you recommend them?

Gemma has just worn her equafleece. I think as she felt it all over, the dressing feeling just came part of the overall feel of the vest

Sure she will be fine.  Worst thing with Coco was stopping her from leaping off the steps in the garden the day after

I hope all goes well for Bailey today we used a blow up collar for George, when he was castrated a couple of months ago, it worked really well and he was able to walk around and eat, unlike the cone of shame from the Vets, it made him thoroughly miserable and he refused point blank to move at all

Thanks for all the replies. Called the vet at lunchtime she is doing well, got to pick her up at 3.30.
Sorry for the silly question, what do I do with the baby grow?
Chop the arms and legs off so its like a cotton tube over the stitches?

I had a 18-24 month baby grow I think, I just cut a hole for her tail to pop through, I also left the press studs by her bum undone while I was with her, I felt the air could get to her wounds better and I could do up the studs when I was away.

She never bothered with her wounds, the biggest problem was stopping her jumping up 

I'm sure your girl will be very sleepy for the rest of the night and needing cuddles

Bailey was pretty miserable when we took her home, slept on and off most of the night, struggling to get comfy (
She hasn't moved much this morning. Have given her small amount of boiled chicken with scrambled eggs, along with some painkillers.
Just keeping her company and cosy, hope she perks up soon, its horrible watching them suffer (

I will leave the plastic collar on for now and see how she gets on with it.

just to say, Gemma  now after 10 days is acting as if nothing happened. zooming around the house, off lead running, not even paying any attention to the stitches So hopefully Bailey will soon be back to normal
