Talk about bad timing just had a call for Lady (working cocker) to be on stage for next 5 nights with Dudley Sutton (he used to play Tinker in Lovejoy) in 'Of Mice and Men' as Candy's dog (who gets pts in the book) at the theatre here - 300 quid in my pocket and she only needs to 'perform' for about 5 minutes each night but had to be there the whole production - had to turn it down though

I had to turn it down though as Lady had 2 visits to the emergency vets over the weekend - fingers crossed it is just her heart (sad that am wishing that this is best case scenario).

I'm so sorry. It's always the way- I turned down many things while my boy was so ill. Bad career move but wouldn't change a thing with hindsight.

Really hope she bounces back. :blink:

Me too and happy to have declined Lady's offer to start her career on the stage if it means she's well enough - I know I laugh about this as its sod's law in my life at the moment too (my sister is very ill as well and after losing my beautiful cocker boy Wilf and one of my cats recently life isn't fun at all so the theatre thing would've been a good distraction)

Vet just pulled that face just now when I left her there, so am sat her on tenterhooks as to whether her time with me will be very short now - my pets do defy normal thinking though so hope its that
