Little Monty has discovered (dead) birds

He has not been bothered about our feathery friends up until last night when the little  >:D managed to find half a dead blackbird corpse whilst sniffing on his walk.  I'm always vigilant about everything around us as he'll hoover anything up but he spotted this before I did. I've practised the "drop" command using treats from day 1 with success, however I now realise that this does NOT work with wildlife  ph34r  Could I get this bird out of his mouth - not a chance!  I had to let him strut back home with both wings poking out of his mouth and the half eaten part clamped firmly round his chops  :020:  I eventually extracted both wings but he enjoyed the other part of his "prize"  :P  Needless to say, I declined any kisses from him for the rest of the night!

This morning, His Nibbs showed particular interest in the 4 ducks who hang round our garden, I could almost see the cogs whirring round in his head  :lol2:

Hmmm, I think the aim is to let go though  :005:

It's funny, my other two never went for wildlife and (apart from socks etc inside) they didn't pick anything up.  Monty will strut his entire walk with something in his mouth, it looks so cute  :luv:

Rosie has twice emerged from bushes with just rear legs and a tail hanging from Her mouth, took ages and I had to up the anti on the treat standard to get Her to part with them.We have learned 'leave' but that relies on Me seeing it first. She even took a treat and ate it without dropping the body.I spent ages looking for it on the floor before realising she still had it in Her mouth.yuck

Unfortunately, I don't take any high value treats on walks so there was no way he'd have dropped it for a manky piece of kibble  :005:  Lesson learnt, take something extra tasty in pockets on walks  :shades:

Ah apologies, my mistake thought he woz - maybe he would like to be  ;)

 I've seen pups in sunglasses and hats but not in genes - careful how you do the zip up ph34r  :lol2:
