A further installment on the adventures of Lil' Orphant Annie since she came to us from Many Tears.
As readers of my previous posts will know, she was frightened of men and had never walked on a lead. The upshot of this was that initially if I or any man was around when she went out for a walk she would just lie down. We moved forward to her having me with her on the walk and then last Sunday she went out with me and Buster but no female chaperon and me holding the lead!
I was really proud of her. We went a three and a half mile walk up some quite steep hills and she set the pace all the way. Watching her from the other end of her long lead it was just like watching a little teddy bear marching along, so now she's The Bionic Teddy!
She has been onto the moor, up to her armpits in a peat bog and been splattered with mud. I think she is getting the idea what fun is...
She is still just under 10kg and a bit bony but she is having plenty to eat and exercise. The vet says she is fine - she is just a pocket cocker.
