I had Alfie back at the vets last week because his bits had started to smell again, vet said balanitis hadn't cleared up and he was given a stronger antibiotic, it's a 20 day course and he gets a tablet and a half per day. All fine and dandy but.... twice in the last week he has suddenly lost control of his bladder whilst in the house. The first time was when he was sitting on the sofa next to me, they'd been out for a pee about half an hour previously and all of a sudden he jumped up with all I can describe as a surprised look on his face and pee going everywhere. I hoofed him onto the floor and outside where he finished and then came back in looking very sheepish. I wasn't cross with him at all, just surprised. I just assumed that he'd been caught short though, stuck the sofa throw and covers in the wash and thought no more of it.... until tonight.
I was round at a friends house for dinner and after we'd eaten I was lying on their (thankfully leather) sofa with Alfie in his usual position lying on top of me. He'd again been out for a pee about an hour previously. He was licking hiimself quite a bit and I was just starting to realise this when I felt something on me... yep, you guessed it, he was peeing on me

but he didn't even try to move, he just lay there. I jumped up and we got him outside yet again where he finished. Clothes in the washing machine, dettol on the settee and me in a rather fetching pair of borrowed boxer shorts (it went right through to my knickers!!) and adidas tracky bottoms

So... are the two connected? The balanitis and the peeing? Or could it be something else? He is fine in himself, playing, running, eating and drinking ok. I will ring the vet tomorrow but thought I'd get some opinions on here first.
