Update.... Bailey died yesterday age 14 .. Minstrel 8yrs ago age 17
Merlin 10 yrs ago age 17
I have now Ellaween age 7 and Willow age 2 both working type cockers Ella black and Tan and Willow choc n Tan.

I'm owned by 2 blue roan show type cocker spaniels - Robbie who's 6 years old and his son Alfie who's 2 1/2 years old and live in Edinburgh.

We also were told not to let her up and down the stairs for the same reason Bones and hips, its is hard trying to stop them, a stairgate could be the answer.Must be something in the breeders advice, if more than one says the same thing. PS she looks fabulous.

What a beautiful puppy you have.  :luv:  We have an open plan living area so a stair gate was a must for Murphy, he's a strong willed and now physically strong 5 month old!  ::)

Ahhhhh! She is beautiful!

I'm sorry I'm not much help on the stair issue (or being careful with your pups joints/bones). With a kid in the house, another dog and a steep terraced back garden with steps all the way up.. it's just not possible to stop my pup pounding himself a bit.. I've decided to relax on the whole issue but time will tell I guess!

I have a chocolate roan, called Cookie and he's now nearly 7 months.  Nobody told me about the stairs, feel gutted now,  :'(
