Jake was on Wainwright's Salmon & Potato puppy but was a bit hyperactive (despite no additives or preservatives). I've now shifted him onto Natural Dog Food Co's puppy food and he's much calmer (although still nuts!)

Honey's on JWB puppy...
Haven't really thought about changing as she seems to like it (though won't let us stop adding a little bit of water - I think it's cos of the warmth rather than consistency, as she eats the kibble from her treat ball with no problem!!!!)

Trust Honey to be contrary!

I always add a drop of luke warm water to the dogs food - always have done  ;)  not to soak it but I think it brings out the flavours and aromours (might just be me pandering to my dogs but hey who cares as long as they enjoy it  ;) )

Can I ask,

Puppies start off on dry food soaked, but when is the time to not soak it anymore, and let them eat it as it comes?

Good question  :shades:

I think when pups are being weaned and up to the age that their teeth are all through there food should be soaked (mush) but after that I think they should be able to cope with their dry food with just some water added, after all they can crunch bones with those teeth and I feel its better for dental health with preventing tartar build up if they dont have soaked food as a regular thing  ;)

Griffin is on BARF and he loves it. I was worried about it at first but I've got into a routine now. The hardest thing is remebering to take the stuff out the freezer.

I never soaked Molo's food as a pup - he was fed Puppy Nutro, and I added a tiny bit of warm water to soften it when he was teething, but that was all  ;)

I didn't soak Alfie's either, I added just a splash of warm water the same as they get now from he came home at 8 weeks. Puppy food is formulated specifically for puppy jaws and teeth to be able to cope with.
