Apologies for the quick reply here, I'm off out for the day.

It's not a simple matter...

Basically there's no simple conclusion - the random nature of the vomiting means that it could be any number of things, so we need to eliminate them one by one.

Probably the most outstanding issue is that Bertie is nearly always sick in the early hours of the morning, and that the vomit is quite substantial. His last feed of the day is 5pm so, as has been mentioned earlier on this thread, he should have digested his food within 4-5 hours. This points to a "motility issue", ie. that his stomach isn't contracting properly and moving his food through the system.

However this is only one of a great number of possibilities. His current vomiting pattern isn't the same as past problems, he's vomiting during the day this time. So basically he's got a mild antibiotic this time, and the next time he has his bout of night time vomiting there will have to be further tests.

Just have to wait and see I guess.  :-\

Jesse was like that... and eventually I worked out that it was the food! I then changed food and the vomiting stopped, but the diarrhea started...  >:(

In the end, NatureDiet (Lamb and Rice) sorted out both front and back end... For the last three days, Jesse has been fed on Butchers because I ran out of Nature Diet and couldn't get hold of any... and promptly, both diarrhea and vomiting returned...  >:(

Vera

Same here bailey used to regularly be sick  and have the runs usually at night.  Changed him food to jwb and a little bit of chappie and now he is fine  :D
