Mine eat raw eggs but have never liked the egg shell very much so I dry them out and grind them into dust and sprinkle them over their food.
I would give eggs up to 3 times per week, but you could give egg shells daily if you wanted. If however they get a regular supply of bones then there is no real need for that often as they will get plenty of calcium from the bones.

I have always broken up and mixed any eggshells I have into Willow's food as she too wouldn't eat the shells by themselves.

Bracken will crunch her way through endless egg shells (she sits and waits while I bake) hoovering up every last bit. This is yet another trick that Willow has now learnt from Bracken. Willow was such a naive little doglet  before that Bracken came along.

My two love raw eggs but only Zorro eats the shells - in fact he likes them so much he has Bella's once she's finished as well...  :D  It always makes me feel slightly queazy the thought of crunching down on egg shell but who am I to question young Zorro?  :shades:

is the raw egg thing good for puppies? ellie is 5 months (she loves scrambled egg) but never thought they could have it raw - is there no risk from salmonella?
