Aw, glad he's home safe. Give him a little bit of scrambled egg later on tonight, and lots of tlc - he'll be back to his old self tomorrow as if nothing's happened!  :D

Did the vet give you painkillers and show you how to check his wound?

He's had his normal tea  :shades:

No didn't get any pain killers or shown how to check the wound - just told to call if I needed anything or if I'm worried at all

If his anaesthetic was early enough today, his normal tea would have been fine, he wouldn't have eaten it if he's felt sick anyway!

When checking the wound, you're just looking to see if there's any inflammation at all, if it looks more raised and red, then your vet can give him antibiotics, but it should probably heal up quickly.  :D

Most dogs don't even seem to notice they've had an operation!  :lol2:

Hamish had his 2 weeks ago, felt sorry for himself the first night and never looked back since.

We had no problems with his wound and was a star when he got his stitches removed on Monday

Good luck, hope it is just as smooth for your wee man

Awe ((hugs)) from me and Sam!   :-*
Dogs are natural optimists and believe if they stare hard enough and long enough, the icing on the cake could be theirs.

Glad all went well for Hamish

Braan just won't give in - he's still trying to fight the need to sleep off the anesthetic - I'm just hoping he will eventually settle and sleep

I'm glad he is home and ok. He will settle eventually, I am sure.

By tomorrow he should be fine, unless he was done quite late and/or if he's milking it!

Last night wasn't too bad

This morning tho it's constant watch, as his teeth are so sharp, that he doesn't go for his stitches
I hated putting the buster collar on him but think it's gonna be the only way OH is gonna get anything at all done today

ph34r I'm off to work and  :embarassed: to say I'm quiet glad as I hate seeing him trying to get to his stitches

UpDated

Well Braan has decided he doesn't want to go back to vets to have his stitches out  :shades:

On the night of day 5 he took two stitches out and I took him to vets on day 6 - vets says he looks fine but we'll leave the other 2 stitches till next week  :shades:

:005: Braan had other ideas and took these out on the night of day 6 - thankfully he is OK  :D

Wonder if vet will give me a reduced rate as he doesn't have to take the stitches out???
