I can't believe that we have come to the 2 year anniversary of you leaving us. Time seems to have passed so quickly. I miss you with all my heart and soul little queen. I miss your funny little face and your wiggliest wag. I miss you sleeping in the crook of my knee and putting your paw on my arm whenever I was about to put food in my mouth. I always knew I would never have a lot of time with you because of your illness but I wanted more than I got and as your Mummy, I am so, so sorry that I couldn't fix you that one last time. You took all your pills, examinations, needles, poking and prodding with such grace and good nature that I was so proud of you my little lamb.
I thought time would heal but here I am today, still bereft at your loss, still unable to remember that night without breaking down. I put together some pictures of you and picked beautiful music but I can't watch it anymore because it hurts too much. When you left, you must have taken a piece of my heart for company because I never felt whole again after that night. I miss you my angel. With every fibre of my being. Please be happy and well wherever you are. Wait for me and Daddy because we will come and get you one day, I promise.
