another poorly dog
« on: March 27, 2008, 11:45:45 AM »

Biba was a bit quite yesterday but ate OK..we took them out for a evening walk and she was running around fine...got back and she started to be sick  ph34r she was sick about 10 times within the space of an hour..first food then just bile in the end..she took herself off to bed ..i didn't feed her last night although she showed no interest anyway when i was feeding Lola...feed her this morning a small meal of chicken and rice..she hasn't been sick since but when on this mornings walk she went for about 6 wees..not like her at all normally just one and she also was squatting to try and poo but she couldn't she did this about 5 times...she has gone very quite again after coming back...if it was just her sickness last night i would have just put it down to scavenging I'm just concerned she hasn't had a poo  ph34r..i proberbly end up taking her to the vets but what are the symptoms for a blockage  :-\

I'm so sorry to read that Biba is poorly. They are such a worry aren't they.
Fingers crossed that she is feeling better soon

I agree with Livercake - I'd take her to the vets to get her properly checked out just to be on the safe side.  I hope she is ok - keep us posted.

I hope she's ok. The straining to poo and not producing anything after being sick would make me suspicious too so I'd probably head to the vet for a check up as well. Does her belly feel swollen or tight? That and standing in a hunched back position with the head down can be symptoms of something stuck in there but not all dogs will show these.
