DIXIE at Many Tears
« on: September 09, 2008, 11:51:32 PM »

09-09-08 Dixie is a 5 year old ex breeding cocker bitch. She is as gentle, kind and patent as can be.  Dixie has never lived in a home so will need time to settle in and get used to things like TVs and vacuum cleaners.  She is not very educated on walking on a lead but this will come as she loves a cuddle and will love being taught things. Dixis is just one of those dogs you want to cuddle all day long.  She would benefit from being homed with another dog to help her learn about home life.

PLEASE NOTE:  Ex-breeding dogs are normally best homed with another dog as they have usually never lived in a house before.  They are used to living with other dogs and learn faster with another to copy from.  This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead.  They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience.

To adopt a dog from Many Tears Animal Rescue you will be home checked and you and all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the new dog.  All our dogs are micro-chipped, inoculated and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so.  If you are adopting a puppy you will need to provide details of training classes in your area. We ask for a minimum adoption fee of £140.  If you are interest in adopting please call the rescue centre between 10am and 4pm on 01269 843084. We are unable to return phone calls so please try again if your call is not answered or email us at sw.vanatta@virgin.net.

hi this is all new to me. so be kind. :Dwhen you all talk about breeding  bitch never been indoors ect will have to get used to hoover and such. what does all that mean? is it that the dog has just been used as a production line for puppys, and never treated as a pet or friend. just asking thats all. peter

That's what I thought. She must have had such a hard life so far. All paws crossed that this is the beginning of a new life for her. It can only get better  :luv:

She looks lovely - and MUCH older than 5.  Many Tears seem to think every dog they get is 5!

I hope she gets a lovely home soon poor love :luv:
