Furbuster - great for fluffy spaniel coats

Recently read a post about a the Furminator which was good for getting out loose fur from (moulting) dogs.  Its quite expensive (cheapest was about £24).  However came across a similar comb called the Furbuster (from Pets at Home) which was quite a bit cheaper and does exactly the same thing.

My choc/tan CS Misha has a really fluffy coat, and at 9 months went for her first clip (I didn't ask for the clip), but was told that a dogs coat had to be course for hand stripping (not sure if thats true).  Anyway even after the clip she still seemed quite fuzzy.  So I started using the Furbuster - really can't recommend it enough.  Its starting to take away all of the fuzziness and really making her coat shine - I've used it in stages and I think in a couple of weeks I'll have all of the fluffy coat out - plus it removes all the moulting coat.  It doesn't cut the coat like the coat king, but just gets rid of the dead coat.

So if you having problems with a fluffy coat give it a try.

Am well interested in that....am trying to sort out fluff-bucket Lola!  I did a sep thread on here a while back about her legs and posted a pic.  Well I've tried all sorts of things but don't want to resort to having her clipped really.  So what exactly is it?  A comb type of thing and how big is it? 
I tried a stripping knife but it will take for ever to do it with that as its too small and she has a lot of fluff

I didn't want to have Misha clipped, but she just looked like a hairball - I think a lot of groomers just want any easy turnaround.  She did look better after being clipped, but still fluffy.  I've put a photo below which hopefully you can see the shiny bits coming thru (looks a bit darker) after using the furbuster (mainly on her back).  She still has fluffy bits on her shoulders, legs and sides, but its a work in progress, plus you can't really keep brushing the dog over and over as it could be a bit uncomfortable for them.  So I'm just doing a bit at a time, so that she doesn't get fed up.  I don't think that she'll ever have a show type coat, as it doesn't seem to be particularly fast growing. 

Not sure how it would work on an unclipped dog, but its worth a try.  Its an American product - link to site below, but can be bought at Pets@home for £14.99

There seems to be different ones, what one did you get ?

Scooby is quite fluffy was due to get stripped on tuesday but has a mild kennel cough so I have had to cancel for now.
