Baileys op took longer than expected so he as a big scar, and they had to take his scrotum away as well the vet rang and said he thinks it could be that the testical had become twisted and thats why it was so swollen But, he didnt want to get my hopes hope we have to stil wait for the results He will also have to be sedated again to take his stiches out :luv:my poor little man he can come home around 3 but as to be kept very quite so we have just been aroun the house and picked all his toys up and put them away  so he wont be tempted to play.. thanks again for all the love and good wishes cant wait to go and get him

I'm so glad that Bailey's op went well, I hope it was just a twisted testicle, that would be the best news. Why does he have to be sedated to have his stitches out?

So glad that his op. went well and that the vet thinks that the twisted testicle (ouch) could be the reason for the swelling. Painful for poor Bailey but hopefully nothing nasty in the long term.

My William's castration was a fairly big op. because one of his testicles had been hiding near his kidneys and it took the vet ages to find it. William had internal and external stitches and was very unhappy and uncomfortable for the first day after the operation. I slept downstairs with him because he couldn't settle and kept pacing up and down, so don't be surprised if Bailey is much the same.
