norty silly milly!
« on: November 18, 2009, 01:31:12 PM »
i have been upstairs most of the day cleaning windows to keep warm(!)

just gone down to clean the lounge windows to find that milly had "attacked" the fireplace - we had a log / coal fire lit last night.

there were bits of charred logs and coal all over my lounge floor (should have taken a picture!)

milly and i locked eyes for a few seconds and then she ran upstairs!!!!!!!!!

is she a norty girl or what???????????

ps - its all cleaned up and she is sat on "her" chair again!

pps - will eating any of the above harm her???????
with lots of love from silly milly and her mum!!!!

Yes!  Eating a chair can present a choking hazard, stop her now!  :005:

Excellent initiative. She realised you needed to keep warm, so she gave you more work and cleaned out the fireplace. That was definitely not norty from a cocker's point of view. And with all that charcoal, she will not be suffering from wind for a while.

No she should be OK Holly used to pinch charcoal from the BBQ that OH had put on garden. They all look so innocent, but really can be disgusting creatures >:D

Lyla regularly eats the logs in the log basket.  She would eat the coal too if I didn't stop her.  She contents herself with just licking it!

Chloe regularly eats bits of coal and ash from the fireplace  ::) Fortunately, she doesn't scatter it around though  ;) She did however tackle a lump of peat one morning that had been lying on the fireplace drying off. I came into the living room to find the carpet covered in a layer of what is basically peat bog  >:D

from experience wood seems to go through them fine!

Roxy was recently fed 'mr stick' (a nice long twig) by our nephew, he was most amused that she just ate him up! (he is 2!) Poor Mr Stick! Stupid dog will eat anything!
