I'm so pleased for you that Buffy came through ok. I haven't been on COL for a while and I got that horrible sinking feeling when I saw there was 8 pages of replies  :'( :'(.

Thank goodness she's getting better  :luv: :luv:.

Great news  that the op went well and they found the cause of her problem and it's not some dreaded illness... Sending her lots of positive healing thoughts for a speedy recovery and she's back home with you soon  :luv: :-*

Sounds like your clever little girl in on the mend.

Unbelievable that they should enjoy munching on what they munch on though, hey???? Yukkkk.  Mine are just the same......socks, paper, tissues... the list is endless.

Hope you get more sleep now.....in readiness for your little monkey returning... :luv: :luv:

Just quickly nipped on to see if there was any update

So glad it was an obstruction afterall!!

My Floyd is still waiting on his stitches to come out after the same thing, only it was half a puppy Kong that was lodged inside.

You'll notice a quick improvement in her, its amazing how resilient our pups are.

The worst bit now is getting them to remember they are healing from a pretty big op, and trying to get a pup to sit still for more than 5 Min's can be difficult!  :luv:

I came on here to check as soon as i woke up at 7am, and posted a reply, but it seems to have vanished in the ether somewhere between here and there!

So, just wanted to say how thrilled I am that it wasn't the more serious diagnosis, but the swallowed dressing was quite bad enough. i hope she will recover very quickly and uneventfully and soon be home with you again.

Ditto what Sarah said, I was really worried when I saw so many pages for this thread, I didn't even read any except the first and last, I just had to know if Buffy was ok....so pleased to read the outcome  :luv:

Oh Penny, I'm so so pleased to read all this - didn't get back until late yesterday and we had another powercut so I've not been able to get on here until this morning >:D >:D

Thank doG it was a blockage and that they've been able to fix her. Lots of gentle squidges to all of you and I hope you get some rest and sleep tonight now that she's well and truly on the mend :luv: :luv: :luv:

I am a new Cocker Spaniel owner and stumbled across this Cockers Online forum by accident. This story about Buffy was the first one I read and I had tears in my eyes yesterday whilst reading all about her.  We have only had our Cocker Cinders since the middle of January this year and already I can't imagine life without her now.  Yes there are times when she really does test my patience, but she is only a little puppy!  Reading all about Buffy really struck home with how attached I am already to my little pooch.  I have come into work this morning and the first thing I have done is to log on to see if there was a Buffy update.  Penny I am so pleased that she is well and truly on the mend.  But I can fully understand how easy it is for our little cockers to quickly eat something up - I thought my Cinders was the only one - at the moment it is pebbles and bits of bark mulch out of the garden!!  It looks like I have got a lot to come my way yet!!!!

Buffy please get well soon so that your Mummy can give you lots and lots of love and cuddles when you get home!

Penny great news that Buffy has come through her op and that it wasn't pyometra but all the same it was still pretty serious.  I am sure she will continue to improve from now onwards, get stronger and be back home with you pretty soon.  Gentle hugs to little Buffy  :luv:.

So glad that the little girl is through her op, and that it wasn't something more sinister.

Hope she's home with you soon.  :luv:

Brilliant news. What a relief that she has come through it all.  Poor little girl.
