I am a new Cocker Spaniel owner and stumbled across this Cockers Online forum by accident. This story about Buffy was the first one I read and I had tears in my eyes yesterday whilst reading all about her.  We have only had our Cocker Cinders since the middle of January this year and already I can't imagine life without her now.  Yes there are times when she really does test my patience, but she is only a little puppy!  Reading all about Buffy really struck home with how attached I am already to my little pooch.  I have come into work this morning and the first thing I have done is to log on to see if there was a Buffy update.  Penny I am so pleased that she is well and truly on the mend.  But I can fully understand how easy it is for our little cockers to quickly eat something up - I thought my Cinders was the only one - at the moment it is pebbles and bits of bark mulch out of the garden!!  It looks like I have got a lot to come my way yet!!!!

Buffy please get well soon so that your Mummy can give you lots and lots of love and cuddles when you get home!

A big welcome to you.  You are going to find it a great site.  There's always a wealth of information, and advice.  Pictures of your doggie are a must.......so hope you have posted some.

Not such great news tonight I am afraid.  The nurses were really positive this morning, Buffy had actually stood up and wagged her tail and they removed the drip.
I rang every few hours and things were going well, but by lunch time she still hadn't had anything to drink at all.  They continued to be concerned and by about 4.00 pm they had to put her back on the drip.   :'( She has to be able to at least drink and hopefully eat something without vomiting before they can begin to think of letting her come home.  They have asked me to phone in the morning to speak to the big boss vet...... It's going to be another long night I think.
Keep the positive vibes coming please - she needs them. (and so do I!)

She's in the best place and better to have her home stronger and able to fight and recover rather than coming home weak, easy for me to say I know! Will be keeping my fingers crossed for a change in her tomorrow

Got everything crossed that Buffy is just suffering from post-op symptoms....which they sometimes do after anaesthesia.

Praying that it will be good news for you tomorrow morning.
