Hope Tilly will turn the corner soon Nic - it must feel interminable for you (and her)  :'(  I know you have no choice at the moment but I am filled with admiration at the way you are holding it together  :luv:

Sending hugs and healing thoughts from here :bigarmhug:

I wanted to do this :bigarmhug: when I saw you at Crufts but didn't want to break your stoicism. I truly hope that things will start to turn around for Tilly soon.  :luv:

I've been thinking of you both often and am willing Tilly to turn that magic corner. Keeping everything crossed and hoping it happens soon. The drugs really are scarry though, I remember our Azothiaprine came with yellow hazard tape on it and cytotoxic written everywhere. We still have to wear gloves with Jaspers Chlorambucil. Ohh and the joy of toxic poo, my personal favourite. Keep fighting Tilly  :bigarmhug: to you both.

I've been following this Nic but not saying much as everyone is saying it for me.
It must be horrible to see Tills suffering but give it some time to get used to the drugs - it took me almost 5 wks and i was about demented  :-\ They are horrible horrible drugs to be putting into your body but i have everything crossed she'll pick up soon and with you there she has the best chance  :bigarmhug:

I know I may come across a bit clinical in these posts

You're not at all - sometimes holding on to those words also helps you keep going - as if just saying them is helping her too - I know how hard and exhausting it is to go through nursing a sick pet - take care of yourself as well

Couldn't agree more with this - make sure you look after yourself too Nic, the constant nursing and worry etc. really takes it out of you, it sort of sneaks up on you without you realising. :-\

Sending a few more hugs your way (and to Tills too of course :luv:).

Oh yes, we have the yellow cytotoxic warning stickers too and the toxic poo is just brilliant ph34r :P  Thanks Deb, I hope Jasper is doing ok :luv:  and thank you to everyone else too :-*

We were back at the vet again yesterday, she had blood taken to check her bone marrow production and she's lost a bit more weight but that's no longer a surprise really. She's had lots of accidents in the house this week which I don't mind obviously but it's not good that she really can't hold it in at all, her food is just running straight through her :-\  The vet doesn't think we've missed anything in her treatment so far but he's going to contact the head of internal medicine at the Edinburgh Uni vet school to see if they can suggest anything else and he's also been in touch with an IBD specialist at the Royal Veterinary College in London, he went to a seminar on IBD she gave last year and she's apparently one of the foremost authorities on it in the UK. I have to also thank Weenieangel who sent me a link to this same vet's details a couple of weeks ago http://www.rvc.ac.uk/Staff/kallenspach.cfm  Perhaps one of these vets will be able to suggest something else although really I think my vet has done everything he can up to now.

The dogs and I came back to NI yesterday, OH is away with work all next week and I thought it'd be a good opportunity to bring Tills back to see my folks, they really wanted to see her again. We arrived last night and went to the beach today and she seemed to enjoy it, she wasn't able to walk for long but she had a run around and a splash about in the water and she looked happy :luv:
