Also are they obvious or do you need to go looking for them? I have a couple of o'toms at the ready.... at the moment they seem to be deer ticks so in the woods normally - our vet says that it's deer ticks spring/early summer and then more sheep ticks throughout the summer and a combo of both late summer/autumn Thank you - and do you check for them after a walk or is it easy to notice them?

Oh dear I think I have a little bit of a weird streak - I googled O tom and got a video - had to play it 3 times! Fascinated...! Ticks =
I knooooow, Oh My Good Gods!! I'd go bonkers if I had one on me! Awful things!Clever gadget though that O-Tom and has zoomed to the top of my never-ending-shopping-list-for-Harvey...and me in case I ever do get one sticking their head in my skin! !!
Being a first timer to all this where is the most likely place you will get them from?I'm definately buying one of those O-toms! Fab

Fab You can often buy them from your vet, or online. Not many pet shops sell them round here Whatever you do, don't be tempted to get any other type of tick remover - the others are all rubbish and will often pull the body off and leave the head buried in the skin
EEEEWWWWWWW Do ticks come from long grass?
