Another vet trip with Fred
« on: March 12, 2010, 07:51:20 PM »
Aaarrggghhh my dog is trying to scare me into an early grave, we had our first off lead walk today after his infected paw and he only went an cut a large gash in his chest.  I took him straight to the vets and it was that bad they had to keep him in and sedate him to stitch him up.  He is home now with a chest full of stitches and is feeling v v sorry for himself, I am off for a large vodka to calm the old nerves

Poor Fred, I hope he heals up quickly and doesn't do it again!

Well overnight he has managed to get at his stitches and the wound has been bleeding- I have cleaned it up as best I can and he doesnt seem to have 'damaged' any of his stitches.  He is now sporting a rather fetching Red/Blue striped T-shirt and a woe is me expression.  Poor Kooki had to go back in the crate last night as all she wants to do is play with her brother. We are back on onlead walks today (and til his stitches out) so if anyone sees a mad woman being dragged around by a limping (yet fashionably attired) whirling dervish that is me and the boy.

Helen-thanks for the triple last night- needed it and his paw drying out nicely now few days and it should be back to normal
