Bonnie stands staring at the bit of floor directly under the chopping board, not at me. She always gets whatever slips from the board. The others sit and watch me, so miss out!

  • To understand a cocker, you need to be a cocker!

Oh yes....I've got 3 stalkers here especially when I'm preparing food! I can be quite happy getting the meal ready, only to turn around & find all 3 staring at me & drooling  :fear2:  .........bit creepy - like a scene from a Steven King film

(even more creepy when you think Tinker can't see.......but she still knows where I am  :shades: )
If your dog thinks you're the best.....don't seek a second opinion!!

I call murphy my shadow because wherever I am, he is sat close by staring at me. The other day I left some crusts of toast on a plate on the worktop, murphy just sat with his back to me, face to the kitchen cupboard hoping they might fall off the plate. Paddy on the other hand will sit in the conservatory giving me dirty looks because I'm not paying him any attention!

Yes, Tess will stalk me especially if i am preparing Sunday lunch. She will sit and stare at me for 2 hours and sit on my feet to pervent me from moving.
When we have finished eating she then runs into the kitchen in the hope of licking the dirty plates in the dishwasher, or hang around the bin in case anyone (usually my son) accidentally misses the bin  :D

I have 3 here who follow me into the kitchen.  Only time it doesn't happen is when they've had a good long walk and have settled  - however they will watch me from the comfort of their beds.  Misha will do a "yippee" dance which involves a play bow, a couple of twirls followed by another play bow repeated a few times - I love it when she does them  :luv: :luv: :luv:

Ozzy follows anyone that goes into the kitchen, just in case he can grab a treat.......

When we have finished eating she then runs into the kitchen in the hope of licking the dirty plates in the dishwasher, or hang around the bin in case anyone (usually my son) accidentally misses the bin  :D
He does this too - you can't leave the dishwasher door open, he'll have cleaned the plates before you get chance to switch it on!
He's also very good at staring at the floor just underneath the area that you are preparing food just in case a drop of it falls off.
The worst bit though is when I'm doing the laundry.  If some reason he isn't in the kitchen when you are and you open the dryer door he's there in a flash.  He tries to nudge me out of the way so he can get to the socks!  he's then right behind you as you move between the washer and the dryer in case you drop any.

One here too. Rupert used to wait politely to one side when I opened the fridge door. But the other day he barged right in, pushed me out of the way and onto my backside (I was hunched down searching for something at the back ....) and stuck his head right in to see if there was any ham that he could claim. ::) At all other times he stares at the spot on the tiles where he anticipates food will fall if I am preparing dinner.

I still have my kitchen stalker but please don't forget how easy it is for accidents to happen, it's almost 2 years since I spilled boiling water on Indy, her burn's healed well and she hasn't learned her lesson but it's one I'll never forget.

Sorry to hear that, but that is the exact reason why my kitchen stalker is told in no uncertain terms "OUT" while i'm in there pottering/cooking ,then she becomes a silent assasin ninja kitchen stalker  :lol2:  :lol2:

but still gets told to go away...... :shades:
People laugh at me because I'm different, but I laugh at them because they are all the same.
