What a little sweetheart  :luv:

Don't think it will take too long for her to find her forever home!!

Name:   PURDY
Gender:   Female
Age:   9 Months
Breed:   Working Cocker Spaniel
Colour:   Chocolate
Neutered:   Yes
Vaccinated:   Yes
Microchipped:   Yes

Children:   Purdy has lived with children however it is felt that older children 12+ would be more suitable due to her being a live wire

Cats:   Unknown

Other dogs:   Purdy has lived with other dogs both in her foster home and her home prior coming into the care of NESSR.

Description:   Purdy is a typical working cocker spaniel. She is busy all day and every day. Purdy came into the care of NESSR with ingrown eyelashes (entropion). As can be seen by the photograph above she has had her operation with her stitches due out towards the end of next week.

Purdy is learning to interact with her foster brothers and sisters and has started to play with them with tug toys etc. Purdy will need lots of mental stimulation such things as flyball, agility etc. It is not felt that beating and or picking up would be feasible due to having had eye surgery.

Purdy loves her walks and is happy to chase a ball and retrieve it. Her recall is pretty good too.

Due to the fact that Purdy was kept in a garage prior coming into the care of NESSR her house training is a little lacking. However this is coming on in her foster home.

Type of Home Needed:   Purdy would be happiest in a home where she will be stimulated mentally as aforementioned, as well as being physically challenged. She will need to go to a home where people know this breed well.

Location: Purdy is being fostered in Bedfordshire and new custodians must be willing to travel to meet him.

Status: Available

If you are interested in adopting Purdy please call either Cynthia on 01670 760346 or Stuart  07733 001165 .

All NESSR dogs require new families to be homechecked, a vet reference and/or personal reference. In addition you will be required to sign an adoption form and give a donation so that we can continue our work.

She is beautiful. I have been talking to my OH about our next cocker being a rescue and he has agreed!  Next thing is to call the landlord to get approval for a second dog, and if he says yes then would love to go and visit Purdy.  She is just like our Milo and the same age too.

Purdy is with us recovering from her ops. She is a real livewire and she does look like daughter of Saffy our field spaniel.

i think the reason mrs TB said yes to a field puppy is she realises there may be a bit of a wait.
As cute as this girl is and i have had lots of detail about this girl from someone who was sorely tempted to keep her forever themselves it is not the right time for me to add number 5 to my gang.
I remember having a long conversation with that person and them telling me the same thing!
she is stunning and hopefully will find a brill home.
