Leg gives way!
« on: March 19, 2010, 01:01:01 PM »
Hi I am doggie sitting for the most goregous working cocker at the moment......such a lovely little thing, I think I will run away so I can keep her!  :005:

Anyway I have noticed that her front right leg gives way at the start of her walk, when she is off lead she runs normally and she doesnt seem to be in any pain as she just stumbles a wee bit and carries on, Ive had a good feel of her leg and paw and she was very happy for me to do so (lots of kisses from her in the process!  :luv: ). Do you think it is just a throw back from some ligament damage in the past and  should I be cutting her walks down? Ive never noticed her do it on the way back from a walk so it could be her leg is just a bit stiff at the start....she is a tiny bit over weight so that could be contributing.

Anyone had something similar?

Can't help I'm afraid with a front leg. ollie still has a hop on his back leg which we think is habit so unless its something like that from a past injury

I've never seen a leg give way so can't help - but when Ollie first started with his problem we were told to reduce running and do mainly on lead walks so yuo could do that for a few days and see if it helps!

Any pics of the gorgeous girl?
