Teething and struggling with kibble?
« on: March 21, 2010, 01:45:18 PM »
Hi, Freddie, 5 months, is losing teeth at a rapid rate and has just refused a bowl of kibble. I tried him with a couple of pieces of chicken and he ate them fine so I knew he was not off food altogether. I then gave him one biscuit and he really struggled to eat it. I put some warm water on his lunch and he has eaten the lot, albeit slower than the normal inhalation of food!  :005: I guess it is only logical that if his teeth are wobbly he may be in discomfort eating kibble? Anyone else had this issue.

PS sorry for my frequent posting but it really helps answer the little niggling questions from a novice dog owner. :lol2:

Poppy who is 4 months is exactly the same, she is also struggling to eat her kibble so we have been putting water to it to soften it and she also eats the lot now  :D we have also been giving her a kong with some frozen yogurt and she loves that, keeps her busy if we have to pop to the shops.
