muppeteers attacked by a cat!
« on: April 22, 2010, 08:21:58 PM »
Ali took the dogs round the block this evening, and they barked at a ginger tomcat sitting in his garden. Next thing she knew, the cat came tearing after them, leapt over a wall and started attacking them - hissing, spitting and trying to jump on them! Zorro stood his ground but his lead got all tangled round a post so Ali couldn't get them away. Bella was desperately trying to escape at the end of the lead, the cat was still going for it and people going past were all stopping to watch in amazement! In the end the local butcher had to come and help fight the flippin' cat/tiger off!!  The poor dogs are really shaken up, no injuries but really flat and clingy, so TTouch and rescue remedy all round. My poor babies!

Oh my goodness!! who'd have thought?? hope they are both ok after their ordeal  :o  I did once hear of a manx cat attacking a postman on a regular basis; in the end the Post Office sent the cat's owners a warning letter... :shades:    :-*

Good grief - you poor doggies and Ali. These things can be quite frightening for all (except the cat of course) hope things settle down soon.  :bigarmhug:

:005: I wish my cats would fight back occasionally - they all just run away so of course the dogs chase them  ::)

We have a rescue cat, Scatty (scatty by name scatty by nature) he rarely comes downstairs and uses the bathroom window to come and go as he pleases, yesterday was a different story, he decided he wanted to come down and sat in the middle of the living room.  Dylan, being Dylan, just casually strolled past him, next minute Scatty's tail and fur were on end, back arched, hissing like mad, Dylan being the dopey dollop he is just stood there looking at him, then Scatty lunged at hmi, poor Dylan ran screaming from the room, luckily Paul was there to stop it going any further but I dread to think what might of happened had Scatty caught poor Dylan.  ph34r

Hope Bella and Zorro are more relaxed now after their TTouch and rescue remedy  :luv:

We're calling it the Ginja Ninja Incident. Ali said every time she tried to get them away he would just come at them from a different angle, he really was on a mission! Thankfully no incidents this morning and they're both fine, quite a tale though ha ha!

  • To understand a cocker, you need to be a cocker!

Must have been awful for you all! Murphy cornered a cat once (by accident) and it was all hissy and swiping at him, this has set a pattern of the need to see off any felines from the garden with a matter of urgency  >:(

Hope they are feeling better and have no more encounters with the 'ginja ninja'  :lol2:

That's incredible.

I love the name of the incident.

I hope the muppeteers soon recover. Especially little Princess B (I know she has taken it the worst!).

Hugs to them and Ali who is also probably quite shaken.
