Behaviourist needed!
« on: June 22, 2010, 05:56:53 PM »
Hi, can anyone recommend a good behaviourist or where to look for one, I would also like to know what qualifications etc to look out for. I have done a quick search but all I am finding is trainers, they are fine individually and do obedience and agility.
The problem I have is that they are not getting along together, they have always bickered occasionally but we have managed this so far. However it seems to be getting more frequent and aggressive, we feel we have tried everything and now need professional help before one ends up getting hurt (or our neighbours complain about the noise).
Thanks in advance.

You can also look here:

http://www.apbc.org.uk/help/regions

Or on the APDT site for a trainer who does behaviour.
there are lots of qualifications so if in doubt pm me and I'll let you know whether they are worth the paper they are written on.
APBC members will all hold a full degree in animal behaviour but there are lots of folk without qualifications at all that know their stuff.
reccomendation is also a good way of finding someone you can trust.
