Hello from Orpington in Kent

Hello Everyone!  :D

Just found this website searching for cocker spaniel clubs on Google.  I have a gorgeous 4 month old blue roan cocker spaniel named Alfie who has become my 3rd child!!  I love him dearly and he has completely taken over my life!  When I went to see him at 7 weeks I saw his mum who I fell in love with and I'm pleased say that Alfie is turning out just the same, adorable, loving and so affectionate.

I've started a dog walking group up so if any of you are in west kent it would be great to meet up  :D

Hi and welcome to COL  :D

I live in West Kent and I am slave to Rosie 8, BWT and Ebony 2 black. Look forward to seeing lots of pics of Alfie, which by the way are compulsory. You will find it's a great site for all things cocker and non cocker!!but it can be addictive.

We regularly have COL meetups in Kent and also cross the border into Essex. If you look on COL meetup photos you'll see photos of our last meet at Lullingstone CP. If you want to organise one, just post on COL meetups.

Hi Holly!

Sounds fantastic, I love Lullingstone Park, great for walks so I would love to get involved. I also walk quite a bit at High Elms Country Park. I would love my little Alfie to meet other cockers and me I adore them all.  When I got Alfie in July I felt like dognapping the mother!  She was gorgeous, a chocolate roan, my favourite colour for a cocker (although they are all gorgeous :o)) l've set up the kent spaniel group (http://www.meetup.com/dog-walking-groups-spaniels) would be great if you could have a look and let me know what you think.  It's been a bit slow trying to get members.

I will upload some photos of Alfie later today  :D

Shame your dog walking group is too far for us, otherwise we would have loved to join in.  :shades: :D
We are owned by 4 mad doglets, Alfie will be 8 in Jan, Jo Jo 6.5 yrs, Nina 4 yrs & Georgia 16 mths.  :luv:

Hi Debbie and Alfie, welcome to COL.  I am owned by Cocoa who is a 5 year old choc roan and tan and a little devil but she is becoming better as she ages.  I live in Folkestone but originate from Orpington.  Used to cycle and horse ride all around High Elms when I was a young teenager (many many years ago :shades:) so it has some fond memories for me!  Will have a look at your website.

Hope you enjoy COL, its a fantastic place to come and browse and chat.

Yes, this is a great place, find myself getting drawn back on daily basis now! Mainly it's the irresistible pictures of all the cocker spaniels  :luv:

High Elms is lovely, not far from me at all, it's the ideal place to walk your dog as you can do any length of walk depending on how you feel.  I often say to my husband that we must cycle around there but have not quite got around to it.... may be next summer  :blink:

Maybe when the weather is nicer we could get a COL meet-up going at High Elms.  I would love to go there again to see how much it has changed.

Hi.... i am owned by Bob he is a solid black show type, he will be 7 years old in March
i go on all the Essex meet up not yet been on a Kent one but we hope to go on some after christmas

Sounds good!  :D Will definitely be keeping up with walks announced here on the Meetup Board next year as I would love to join in, can't wait for the warmer weather again!  Alfie's still only a babe at 5 months though but by next spring I'm sure he'll be up for some long walks.  Here he is getting into the festive spirit...
