She will get there, its very early days. At least she appears bright which means she's coping with her confinement and temporary disability.

Take heart in what other colers who have been through this stage already are saying about their personal experiences.

Good luck with your visit. :luv:

Boy did that half an hour go waaay to quickly! They could only give us half an hour as they were moving dogs through all of the time with emergencies. It was very, very noisy. The big dogs were one side and the small dogs, like Jem were the other side. Jem is next door to a very noisy dachound. She was very quiet with us but she did do the little Jemima peep peep that she does. We sat on the floor on a rug that the nurse had brought for us and we got her out of the cage. Both me and sister Jayne cradled her for a while on our knee. I was worried about hurting her but Sheryl has told me not to worry as she won't break. I took a range of foods but she wasn't interested. However, the nurse did tell us that she had been shringe fed at 4 and had a good meal. We left three toys with her. Andrew came in to say hi and, from what he could say above the barking, he said that she is making a tiny progress (he went back to the nurse laughing at me and Jayne crawling around on the floor of the kennel to get to sit with her!). I asked the nurse if Andrew likes to see them feeding before they go but she said that he doesn't worry too much about that as they fret so much and then eat at home. She says they are worried more about her having a wee on her own so that's the aim for the weekend. She made sure that she made both of us feel guilty for leaving her there though. The car was in silence during the 50 mile trip home, Jayne said that she wants her home and didn't like her to be in the noisy kennel. They've asked us to call for an update in the morning so here's to her being a bit brighter. Can I just say again a big THANK YOU for everyone who is thinking of her.   :luv:

It sounds like she's in good hands.  Hopefully, each day will bring the Jemima you know back.  Thanks for the update.  Sarah

We hope it won't be too long before Jemima is back home where she belongs.

It's so hard when you have to leave them.

Thinking of you.
