Amber being spayed
« on: January 23, 2012, 10:07:28 AM »
Have dropped Amber off to be spayed this morning. I know she'll be fine, but I'll still be pacing until I've had the phone call from the vet at lunchtime to tell me that all is well.

Course you will.  That's what we Mums do!  It is worrying isn't it?  Lyla was my seventh girl to be spayed and I was just as nervous about it as I was with my first girl!  Loads of positive thoughts to you and Amber....keep busy!

Aye the waiting is really
difficult; it's one of those
occasions where time becomes
elastic and seems to stretch
on and on...
I hope your morning passes quickly
and your girlie is home with you
as soon as poss.

Thanks for all the good wishes  :-*

Don't worry Sheryl, I didn't do much cleaning!  ph34r

Amber is home, very groggy and a bit whingey but has had some scrambled eggs and is now sleeping  :luv: :luv:

Keeping her quiet for 10 days is going to be challenging!

Its daft, you know that its a routine op and that they'll be fine, but I was still upset at leaving her this morning. She's crashed out again now which is good....

.... and yes, I think a glass of wine might well be on the cards later  ;)

Glad everything went well and Amber is home with you  :D

Keeping her quiet for 10 days is going to be challenging!

That will certainly be tricky if she is anything like Coco.  :o :005:  Coco was raring to go as soon as I picked her up in the afternoon - I had hoped to at least have a quiet evening on the day of the op :dunno:  I had a bit of a nightmare trying to stop her launching herself off the top of the steps in the garden and doing the wall of death  >:( :005:  In the end I took her into the garden on her lead for about the first week and then the vet said just let her do her thing which is what I did - she was absolutely fine  :D

Glad she is home safe and sound  :luv:

sometimes the most 'routine' ops are the worst, lets face it you feel guilty for taking her there and putting her through the op, and worried something might go wrong, and worried when she's home and you can't keep her quiet - I (and most of us!  :D ) totally appreciate this ...

big hugs for a speedy, but gentle recovery :) x
