She was a good as gold (barking aside :005:) at the vets. I was told she may be groggy and wobbly after the op, then the vet nurse had another think and said actually she's neither. She managed 10 mins of not barking, not bad going in a 6 hr stay. ;)

She doesn't look much different to this morning as she has no collar on and they didn't stitch the third eyelid (thank goodness, that looked minging on the other dog we saw). They told me she should just have bland light food in case she vomits post aneathetic but tbh as soon as she got home food was the only thing on her mind so I gave her the light breakfast I'd saved and 30 secs later she was looking at me again as if to say is that it? so I gave her tea aswell. (she was fine and is still fine nearly 3 hrs later :005:).

The drops will be a nightmare as she hates eye drops so I'll need all cunning and stealth to give her 9 a day. Thats one lot 5 times a day and one lot 4 times a day but can only be given an hour after the first ones. Great >:D

She was alittle spaced out when she first arrived home, but within an hour she was fine. I need to go back in a week for a review, wonder if she'll now start to bark in the vets room as well as the waiting room? ph34r Hopefully not because distraction techniques so far have done nothing to keep her quiet, but the plus side is she's better than Penny who not only barks non stop whilst in the vets but squeals in between barks too. ph34r

Thanks Sheryl for doing the initial update and thank you so much for everyone's support. :luv:

Well started the drops routine today.

I hope there is enough medicine in these bottles to account for failed drops as this morning I missed the eye 5 times and scored on the 6th attempt. She knows every trick in the book on how to avoid eye drops up to a nano second before they land in her eye. ph34r

One drop down, another 8 to go. :005:

She seems ok in herself and I don't need to worry about her painkiller tablets as she'll eat anything. :luv:

Glad things are going well.  Poor you, at least I only have to put two drops a day in Toby's eye  :005:  (not missed yet but I'm sure there'll be a first time)  >:(
