Lyla Has started Limping
« on: February 02, 2012, 02:15:04 PM »
I took her a wee stroll round the garden and toward the end she started to limp.  I checked her front paws and in one she had a pine needle.  It wasn't stuck in anywhere, just caught in her fur.  I took it out but she was still limping.  Even more worrying is that she went into her crate and lay down and is sleeping.  That is so out of character for her and Im waiting for her to wake so I can see if she is still limping.  Please cross your fingers for her :'(

everything crossed here for little Lyla   :'(
really hope it's just a little stiffness & nothing more sinister going on  ;)
Will keep an eye out for an update when she does wake  :luv: (she'll probably make this an extra long siesta & keep us all in suspenders for the afternoon  :lol2: :-* )

Was it her front she was limping on?  It might be that limping on it caused her to shift her gait a bit Sheryl, hence feeling a bit tired/quieter now...
Try not to worry, pointless statement I know. Everything crossed she's ok when she wakes  :luv:

Fingers crossed here Sheryl, hope it was just the pine needle and she'll be ok when she wakes up. :-\

I have just got her out of her crate.  She is not wanting her dinner and she is definitely more stiff in her back end.  I will text the vet if she is the same later on  :'(

:bigarmhug:'s for you both.  Really praying its just some stiffness that she's experiencing and nothing more sinister than that.  She's been going great guns hun, maybe she's just overdone it a little and she just needs a few days rest. Also been a lot colder down here the last few days, not sure if its been such a big drop up there, but it might not be helping  :-\
