Just seen this - awful news - fingers crossed that the outcome is a good one. I know what these silly workers are like - Roxy is still in a splint 3 weeks after her op to repair a torn ligament in her leg - but they manage remarkably well on 3 legs - rather too well to be honest.

Alfie has a y fracture of the elbow which entails a complicated procedure to fix.
He is in surgery as I type, the operation could be as long as six hours. I'll post when I have any more news.
Thanks for all your thoughts and good wishes for my special boy.

Been thinking about Alfie today and hoping things were going well.
6 hours is a very long time until you get some news, hope you and Mrs Top Barks are ok.
Sending positive thoughts to the lovely Alfie and hope the op goes well and we get some better news very soon, we have seen some amazing recoveries here on COL over the years, I think the power of positive thought and good wishes sent his way must help  :luv:

Phew - so happy to read this Mark   You must be sooo relieved.  :-\

Have been thinking about Alfie today and hoping for a good outcome.  I am sure he will make a great recovery and even if it is not 100% he will cope with you to look after him.  Will the pins have to stay in?

Go Alfie  :luv: :luv:
