Haven't been on for ages but could really do with your thoughts on this matter please. Ollie as just turned one and as never really chewed anything since Ive had him, but this morning my daughter goes downstairs and everything is fine.  But 90 Min's later the kitchen door mat has been demolished.  He has plenty of chews ect. Just don't understand why he has just started this.

Lots of adolescent dogs go through a secondary teething phase - and will often be more "destructive" than they were as pups...
As long as he has plenty of things he *can* chew, and has plenty of stimulation etc, it's unlikely to become a habit that last beyond his molars setting in....  :D

I found raw bones are ace, they taste much better than sofa's  ;)  Especially the rib bones as they're soft enough for Lily to really get her teeth into em, stright out of the fridge and they're nice and cold to soothe her gums too  :luv:

Try your local butchers, mine just asks me to put a bit in their charity money box  :D  Beef rib bones I find are best or if you want to push the boat out you can buy racks of pork/lamb ribs from supermarkets but they're smaller and don't last as long  ;)
