Being sick
« on: August 02, 2012, 07:20:19 AM »
Does anyone know if dogs get gastric reflux type symptoms like we might?

Last Thursday and just this morning Saffy has got off her cushion for the first time in the morning, walked to the back door and been sick.  All that has come up has been a small amount of golden coloured liquid/bile.  She has done this once or twice before, each time she has been bright and eaten her breakfast not long afterwards.  At all other times she has been behaving normally, eating normally and pooing and weeing normally.  Very strange.

Yes they do. Our dogs have done this too. If you google 'dog vomiting in morning' you'll find lots of info. We seem to have solved it by giving them a small supper just before bedtime. This way their tummy isn't empty all night.

Great....will try the biscuits.  I'm certain Saffy won't object to that!  :D
