It is very worrying, but one of those things that you just have to try and mentally shelve or your dogs will end up not having a walk for three months

It's coming up to mushroom time ( both toxic and safe) - do you think it's possible dogs are finding them in the woods and scoffing them - it would explain how only one out of two out together could be affected - if they'd gobbled up a mushroom on their own?

That does sound like a very likely cause given the timing and symptoms. I wonder if they've done any toxicology test?

There are numerous ongoing tests and investigations going on into this by the AHT.
