A minor op for Clover looming.....
« on: October 23, 2012, 11:56:22 AM »
Had to take Clover back to the vets today as she still has a lump where they operated to take out a couple of grass seeds from her armpit not so long ago.  The options are: leave it alone and see what happens and then it will probably need an op anyway at a later date as there's obviously still some remnants of grass seed in there, or, get it over and done with now before any awns or pieces thereof, have the chance to get in any deeper and cause a bigger problem - soooooo - she is booked in for Thursday morning for a GA and slice the whole lump out to make sure they get everything that might be lurking within it. Hopefully it will then heal properly and that will be that. Worse bit is, stitches and lead walks for ten days afterwards - that is just SO not Clover......  :016: (This is her third GA in her whole 17 months of life - hope this is not setting the course for the future!!!)  :fear2:

Poor Clover, grass seeds are evil  >:D

It is best it's removed now as you don't want it to travel.

Have passed on your kind wishes to Clover and she says thank you very much, lol! Seriously, will be glad when it is over - feel so mean having to starve her and then leave her at the surgery - she and I are not often apart and I know she won't be happy.....and nor will I!

>:D Hate those grass seeds!

Me too - I had never heard of the potential damage those blighters are capable of before here either, now the sound of them makes me feel sick.

Big love for Clover - wishing for a speedy bounce back and a not too traumatic 10 day on-lead recuperation sentence period

Thank you for all your kind concern - I have just had the call to go and fetch her - she is looking a bit sorry for herself, they said, and still a bit sleepy, but they did find another grass seed and removed it along with the lump that had formed at the site since the last one was removed - hopefully that is an end to it and she will heal up and have no further bother! Will update again later on!  ;)
