Milly's first holiday
« on: November 07, 2012, 04:46:40 PM »
Just thought I would tell you about Milly's first day on holiday in Scotland, and pre-warn you to look out for photos when we are home on Friday. Today we went to a loch and had a very exciting walk, which was even funnier when she was doing the cocker bounce, and bounced straight into a small hidden stream that just came over her tummy. A very bedraggled puppy came out and proceeded to do what we call "cracker dog". We then had lunch in a little pub where she shared some of my chicken and finally a trip round a distillery where she was very good and was bought a little pink Loch Ness monster toy which she slept cuddling the entire 90min car journey back to the hotel. As promised a photo will be uploaded on Friday.

Sounds like you're both having a great time - we must try to meet up for a walk when you are back.  PM me then and tell me what you are working over the next couple of weeks and we'll try to arrange something. Look forward to seeing you soon. x

Chrissy, which distillery did you visit? I was up at Dufftown in September and none of the local ones would allow dogs on the tours . Was quite disappointing. We'll be back up again next year (my daughter lives in Dufftown) so would be good to know which ones are dog friendly. Also if you have any suggestions of dog friendly pubs that would also be good to share.

Hi,

it was the Bladnoch distillery and the pub which Milly was allowed in was just over the road from the distillery.  On the second day we went to the beach and there was a pub which didn't let dogs inside but they were welcome in the garden.  I can't remember the name of it at present but as soon as I get a chance then I will search my case as I picked up a card so I could let you know.  Unfortunately the case remains packed on the bed having spent 6 hours getting home and Im knackered.
